The first hello
Our story began with a simple conversation in October 2021. We exchanged a few messages, unaware that God was quietly writing a love story that would unfold in His perfect time.
A story only God could have written. Every conversation, every pause, every reunion, perfectly timed.
Our story began with a simple conversation in October 2021. We exchanged a few messages, unaware that God was quietly writing a love story that would unfold in His perfect time.
Although we weren't constantly in touch, every few months, almost like clockwork, we would reconnect. A brief conversation here, a quick catch-up there. Looking back now, those moments weren't random; they were gentle reminders that our story was still unfolding.
Neither of us knew it then, but God was preparing our hearts, one conversation at a time.
Then came August 2022.
At the RCCG Convention Perfect Jubilee, we finally met face to face for the very first time. The moment I saw her, something settled in my heart. Before we had the chance to say much, I knew.
“This is my wife.”
I wanted our first meeting to be unforgettable, so I arranged for a cup of parfait to be delivered to her, but with one little twist. The vendor handed it to her anonymously.
Naturally, she was curious. She kept asking who had sent it, trying to solve the mystery. After much questioning, she finally discovered that it was from me.
What seemed like a simple cup of parfait became the sweetest beginning to a love story only God could have written.
Not long after, I asked her out on our first official date.
Conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter came naturally, and what had started as occasional conversations suddenly became something beautifully intentional.
Every moment together affirmed what my heart already knew: that God had brought us together for a purpose.
That same week, on Saturday, I shared my intentions with her.
I told her I wasn't pursuing something casual. I was pursuing her, with marriage in mind.
It was a conversation rooted in honesty, clarity, and the confidence that God had already gone ahead of us.
From that day forward, we intentionally began building a relationship founded on faith, friendship, purpose, and love.
Remember that anonymous cup of parfait? What started as a thoughtful surprise became one of the defining moments of our journey together.
As we reflected on our story, we couldn't help but smile at how beautifully everything came together. God had perfectly orchestrated our paths, and a simple parfait had unexpectedly become one of our sweetest memories.
That's how our wedding hashtag was born…
#ParfaitlyMadeEP 🍨❤️
Parfaitly… Perfectly… Get it?
It's our little reminder that what began with a cup of parfait was, all along, perfectly designed by God.
And because every beautiful love story deserves a full circle moment, the very same vendor who anonymously served that unforgettable cup of parfait on the day we first met will also be serving parfait at our wedding.
So when you see a cup of parfait, don't just think of it as dessert.
Smile.
Because you're holding a little piece of our love story.
Taste God's perfect timing.
Taste a beautiful beginning.
And most of all…
Taste the love in it.
Looking back, we can see God's fingerprints on every chapter.
Every conversation.
Every pause.
Every reunion.
Every perfectly timed moment.
None of it was accidental.
What seemed like ordinary moments were, in fact, part of an extraordinary plan written by the greatest Author of all.
Today, with grateful hearts, we celebrate a love that is Parfaitly Made and perfectly timed by God.
Thank you for being part of our story and for celebrating the beginning of our forever with us.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
As we begin this new chapter, our prayer is that Christ will always remain at the center of our marriage, binding us together in love, grace, and purpose.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12
